Or how about how come Velen and the Draenei didn't become insane fanatics during the thousands of years they were flying around the galaxy? Or even just the 200 years on Draenor they were peacefully living alongside the Orcs?

In fact if the argument Blizzard makes is that without an enemy to fight, the Draenei devolve into insanity and become fanatics, Velen and the Draenei should be the most fanatical of them all.
I think Velen knows restraint in asking guidance in the light. Yrel clearly didn't. It's also an alternate timeway so things are bound to be different and alternative. We might've seen the Draenei jump to that in our reality had things gone differently.

What? He literally pleaded to them to help and blindly listened to them as his people were being slaughtered during his escape from Argus. He did nothing but follow their word throughout the galaxy.

With the defeat of the Legion in this cosmos you think that's the reason that gave the Naaru little difficulty in claiming Draenor in the name of the Light? Again this whole thing presents more questions than answers.
