If they MUST have Draka back & Thrall is involved then for fucks sake don't do WoD, have them meet. And actually make it a good story moment, don't make it just be like, "yOuR mY MoM wOw!" Have it actually matter and be the vehicle through with Thrall can use the Elements again
I really liked how Christie Golden put it in the "Journey of Thrall" at Blizzcon. Where it wasn't his real mom so he had to keep a distance. Really hope they go the route of Draka pushing Thrall to be confident again and for the two to connect.

I mean I guess that's what they have to tell themselves after the fact but personally I find that kind of a lazy excuse to not have done the obvious thing. Because the Alliance show up and IMMEDIATEY are like, "Yo we're from an alternate dimension let's party" to Velen.

Well to be fair for Thrall this was a bit more personal considering these were his parents. I don't think the Alliance anything similar to that.
