Yeah I'd be interested in hearing how Thrall didn't cheat too. Last I checked mak'gora was straight up hand to hand combat. If Garrosh using poison on Cairne was cheating, Thrall using shamanic magic definitely was. Not trying to start a fight. Legit, I want to know. :)

I made an entire video about this. I'd recommend giving it a look.https://youtu.be/C0WANuEU3Nw

I saw your video today and want to thank you. I did not know that the rules of mak'gora were fluid and established by the fighters upon challenge. I thought it was a single orcish ritual with a specific set of rules. Based on this new information, I believe Thrall did not cheat.

Great video ! I'm more keen to believe he did not cheat, though it is uncertain as we dont know the rules. We sure can imagine it was allowed but I do find it weird that he used it as final ressort ?

Considering the last time Thrall and Garroy duked it out back in the Siege of Orgrimmar; Thrall was still unable to win. So my best guess besides making it dramatic is that he wanted to throw Garrosh off with using it right then and there.

Again this was not Garrosh and Thrall's first-ever mak'gora and the best way to go off from it is that they just went with their standard rules from back during Wrath. The issue being is we don't know those rules they've established.
