Can we actually establish whether Arthas deserves redemption or not? Like as a fan consensus? Because like, if we're back to him being a puppet post Frostmourne then his crimes are many, but honestly? The game has asked me to forgive worse. THE PLAYER CHARACTER HAS DONE WORSE.
I think the fact that he didn't even get a chance to go to the Arbiter is telling enough. Arthas I think deserves a chance at the very least to go to Revendreth just like anybody else. This is especially because he was already under the will of the Jailer/Ner'zhul too.
Couple this with the fact there are souls in Revendreth who are walking around with titles like "World Killer" makes me think that Arthas wasn't as bad as we make him out to be in comparison.
Arthas could've easily followed a different path, were circonstances different. But the Maw is initially reserved for the vilest souls in the universe, those cannot reform whatsoever. I think Arthas could de redempted. After a few thousands years in revendreth.
That's definitely my thought. The only redemption arc he deserves at the moment that we can resolve in one Xpac would be giving him the CHANCE to atone; setting him on the path to eventual (most likely in a few centuries) in Revendreth.
