Shadowlands needs to have an ending where: - Thrall runs over to hug his kids & Aggra. - Tyrande returns to Nordrassil & kisses Malfurion. - Baine & Mayla have a big ol' hug. - Anduin returns to SW and is just tired but happily sits back on his throne. Wholesome ending, please.

This is true, but I also get the feeling that they're setting up Shandris and Tess hard, giving them a lot of spotlight for something bigger going forward. I'd love see a cruel irony in Tyrande getting the Illidan treatment after tipping the pot over. 10000 years with no parole.
Shadowlands has actually made me like Tyrande a lot more so I am not really partial to her getting a bad ending. I actually prefer her getting a good ending if it means She and the Horde can get along finally.

If anything happens to Tyrande or Shandris I don't know how I'll handle that emotionally, I'm still upset about everything else that happened to the night elves.

That's honestly why I believe that the Night Elves don't really deserve any more bad endings. If they want a break from Tyrande then that's fine but full-on kill her? Nah. I especially don't like the direction of "Sylvanas is good" and "Tyrande is bad" that people talk about.

I think Tyrande's destined for a bad end, this power trip scenario never ends well for any character in Warcraft's storyline. I think there's a reason why we focus on saving the 4 peacemakers as the main storyline, its just a feeling I have stemming from she's the odd one out.

They're clearly setting up the Night Warrior to be divided into her people. And thus opening the way for Night Elf Paladins.
