They are humans. They would be in the upper 6ft range on average. Only those in drustvar would make sense to be mixed with drust in some cases but that's not a reflection of the race as a whole. It would be like saying Gilnean aren't in the average for humans
I think that the regular Kul Tirans and thin Kul Tirans would be around that average height length. But it's different for the ones who're bulkier. That's just how they're represented in the game.
I really dislike the model comparison chart. It really exemplifies the fact that the models are working within the constraints of an ancient video game and trying to accommodate for gameplay when it comes to scaling. The gnome right beside the dwarf makes it plain to me.
not only that but that's the recently updated model chart too after this big sudden change happened. It's just not good to go by. Just like using in game distance to measure the size of an area or how long it takes to get from point A to B
The kul tirans aren't magically infused beings? they're just bulky humans. Bulk=/= height. the game models were never accurate
I don't think magic has anything to do with it. They're just really tall and really muscular humans. Which really isn't too much of a stretch for them to be considering they did descend from the Vrykul.
They're a different body shape that Blizz wanted to experiment with and they ended up larger to diversify them from the standard human model. KTs have the same average height as humans, maybe a bit larger at best.
The in-game models are inconsistent. A lot of them are overexaggerated or underexaggerated. The Kul Tirans definitely aren't supposed to be taller than orcs and even Kaldorei on average. Even if they're bulker, they'd only be a few inches taller than normal humans.
This is the most logical conclusion, though at Blizzcon, Ion advertised them as being large because they "hunted monsters".
I think Blizzard was trying to do body shapes like SW:TOR (KTs are very, very similar to the large body option in SW:TOR), but they ran out of time.
large =/= tall and that doesn't make any sense
