I still don't think this is a good design choice, by the way. If your only way to keep players playing is to chop up already developed content across 3 months, then you don't have enough of it. This is why I advise friends who've quit to not return until later starting in Legion

I think the wat they did it in Mists of Pandaria was so much better. You just had to get your reputation up at a certain point for the next chapter in the story. Plus you'd get some cool mounts and transmog afterwards it was great! --
Plus if you needed to do it on your alts they gave you a bonus reputation on your other characters so you could complete it faster. Never understood why they didn't carry it over beyond MoP.
