how come Thrall gets yet ANOTHER new model and then gets stuck in the Maw while Ysera takes a super central role in Legion, using her old model, then returns for Shadowlands, STILL USING HER OLD MODEL.................... ??????

Ysera died in Legion. Thrall lives on and will continue to live on and remain relevant in the story. They're not likely to give a new model to a character who's about to die unless they're a raid boss.

She IS relevant again though. the whole night fae covenant questline is about her and then she remains a relevant figure if you play night fae. She’s... there, giving you quests, being a part of the questline in all of her 5 polygons

She was relevant in Legion too but it was rather brief. They should give her model update definitely if they plan to continue to use her throughout the expansion.

Saurfang died in bfa as well. And got a new model. And he barely appeared in the expansion as a whole.

Saurfang died in Battle for Azeroth but not right away. And appeared in almost every patch even if the stories he took part in were short.
