Maybe it's because I'm not the biggest Blood Elf or Kael fan but am I the only one not bothered -that- much by his portrayal? In Revendreth you're not exactly supposed to be at your best especially at the start of your journey else-wise why would you even be there?

This isn't to say they're doing him completely right either. All I am saying is he isn't supposed to be his best self in Revendreth as that's for later. I'm also only speaking on behalf of what I've seen so far from the Maldraxxus Campaign too so I might've missed something.

If I had to compare the two Kael'thas' in Shadowlands to TBC is at least he is bound to grow and change back into the character we know and love over time. While Kael'thas was a villain in TBC with no sign of changing at all.

It's mainly cuz it implies Kael at like Tempest Keep is still bad. When up to Tempest Keep everything he did was the best thing for his people. It's fine if like we eventually find out the system of death is bias or smthin but it shouldve focused on Kael after his first defeat.

I think that Kael'thas in TBC was bad though. Man was doing a lot of scummy things. I don't think everything he did was for the best of his people either as its been shown throughout the course of after Kael's reign they've survived without his means.

It was easier for High Elves since they were exiled but Silvermoon had to use fel crystals and mana siphoning to stay operational. It’s easier to talk about going mana free when you’re living in some wood cabin in the hills but when your half destroyed city runs on the stuff (1)

Its kinda necessary for their survival. Even the stuff up to Sunwell was in the best interest of the Sin’dorei. If Kael never went to the next step of using the Sunwell to bring Kil’jaeden into the world and put the blood elves under his servitude he would’ve been a hero.

there’s even an argument that having the protection of the burning legion similar to the Eredar WAS actually the best thing for his people at the time.

I’m not denying that he belongs in revendreth or that he isn’t bad, but the accuser is wrong when they say he didn’t do everything for his ppl.

I don't think the Accuser is entirely wrong or right in this situation. Some of what Kael did was for his people and then later for himself. It's more of a mix than just the one.
