Imagine if the villain in Ardenweald was also a returning threat like Kel'thuzad is in Maldraxxus (And how Uther facilitates the villains in Bastion) in order to keep the theme consistent. Unlike the boring ass Drust, it should have been Xavius.

Furthermore when all 4 were together in the Shadowlands, somehow they'd form together and become a Void Lord (After we fought them individually a second time, that is) and that's how we'd first encounter one in the game.
Part of me always speculated that each Old God was essentially a piece or part of a single Void Lord. So Yogg-Saron was the Mouth. Y'sharaj was the head(s). C'thun was the eye(s). And N'zoth was the... limbs? So it would be really cool if they formed together into a Void Lord.

That's also how I saw it. Thought about it & my (again, fanon) theory was that the Void Lords, since they couldn't enter our universe, basically shot a bunch of parts of themselves into the universe as Old Gods who, once consuming enough, would form together into a Void Lord

Basically once they consumed enough energy or magic or power from the world they landed on, the Old Gods would combine into a Void Lord and then, on our side of the universal barrier, be able to shatter it letting the others in.
