Yeah, that was odd. It was cool to get the title of general, but the fact that no one ever mentioned again was strange.
Was upgrading my Garrison on my Demon Hunter finally and I was reminded by the Vol'jin monologue of him congratulating you the Champion and then calling you General. Always bothered me this is never addressed again all throughout Warlords of Draenor and beyond.pic.twitter.com/q3LHRrq24G

I always saw the 'adventurer' as an at-will member of the military who was field commissioned when all of the real generals and what not stayed on azeroth. Once the expedition to Draenor was over that was retired. (Also my phone just corrected 'Draenor' to 'France?!' lol)

I'm of the opinion that we as players should not be put on a pedestal that high. Heroes? Absolutely. But supreme champions of azeroth and generals of our factions? Bit too much I think.

This is the only time we actually got to see Vol'jin being Warchief outside the MoP end cinematic. For that reason this brief few seconds has always been even more surreal.
