What is the point of all this pandering nostalgia bait of bringing back all these returning characters for Shadowlands if they don't act like their original portrayals? Ysera (Who only died in Legion) and Mograine are like the only two who are consistent. #Warcraft

In major roles, I should say. Vashj is fine but she's clearly a very secondary character. Kael'thas is one of the stars of the Revendreth campaign and acts nothing like his original portrayal whatsoever and its infuriating.

Kael'thas I would say is the most difficult to figure out as he's gone through like two transformations as a character. His Warcraft 3 one being his obvious best and his TBC being his worst. I have yet to see the Revendreth one but from what I can tell it's also different.

So we've got a Kael'thas who's different almost each time we've interacted with him. Personally, if they had another swing at Kael I would've based it off of his Warcraft 3 version with a bit more insanity after being in Revendreth for this long and being "milked".

He literally insists that people continue to call himself the 'Sun King,' the title he took at the absolute height of his insanity, the one we're DIRECTLY TOLD is a result of fel corruption. The writers didn't even TRY to make him his original self, like other characters.
