He's not difficult at all. BC was terrible and retroactively their reasoning is that he was corrupted by Fel and tainted by Kil'jaeden. They just chose to make that the core of his character, the shitty meme spouting shithead, not the noble but desperate prince of Frozen Throne.
There's way around it they messed up Kael again. My biggest suggestion for them is to have him grow back into his old self in a later patch at the very least. In a similar way on how they goofed up Rexxar in early BfA and patched it up later.
It's too late now. The chance was 9.0. You can't just suddenly make him different after the end of the Revendreth campaign is him being already redeemed, implying that what he becomes (He doesn't change after redemption) is the original character. Its a wash. Just kill him off.
