Yeah I'm not binging it either like I did Legion and BFA. I think what killed BFA was the illusion of content under chores and it was exciting because of M+, but then the raids wore us down. With SL it doesn't feel like WoW. Feels like a whole other IP with some WoW chars.
That's the feeling I've been getting too. Certain areas and zones don't even feel like World of Warcraft (Revendreth and Bastion) and for some, that's an allure. But Mists of Pandaria for example still felt like Warcraft despite feeling so different.
I think that Shadowlands ultimately will be one of those expansions (hopefully) that get's better as it progresses from patch to patch. So long as it remembers Warcraft characters I think it has a chance to win me over. But atm I'm just not as pumped as I was for BfA.
Yeah, especially due to the little easter eggs in MoP. I always said SL would have been a fantastic standalone. And an expac after BFA could have been a raid for each Old God that is nostalgic to the old raids with them. It also sucks the time gated story is even worse now.
Have to do all 4 Covenants to Renown 40 to really understand what is actually going on. Which is going to take months without datamining.
