Those sentient weapons must be important. I swear the Ember wastes are the aftermath of experimenting with Naaru and creating earlier prototypes of the weapons, the Ashbringer is semi sentient right? And that was forged on Azeroth by mortals.

Dreadlords also don't seem to carry weapons very much either, it's conspicuous in the context of the Burning Legion who had dozens of powerful items and most of their army was armed in some way.
