One thing I've noticed is the Lich King is very ice-themed and thus far the Maw and Maldraxxus where he gained/drew his power from has little to no winter or ice involved.
Kind of curious how that all adds up.

Considering the Scourge is like Walmart Maldraxxus where everything is falling apart maybe the whole ice and snow thing was just genuinely for practical purposes. So stuff didn't fall apart as quickly.
