Honestly I want the faction barrier to go away but with the option for people to stay 'loyalist' if they want to, but also let people break off and be neutral. I've found especially it hurts when trying to help the other faction out in the world, but the tagging gets in the way.
I'd prefer instead for things to just "settle" with the Alliance and Horde lorewise. Where you'd basically still have a handful of conflicts here and there. But ultimately the two sides are working together. That way it shows the sides are working together and coming to terms.
Basically, add a feature where Alliance and Horde can group up and work together if they want to. But not Horde literally joining the Alliance faction or vice versa. This just makes sense for evolution in WoW to let us all PvE or just play together.
I wouldn't mind having cross-faction guilds at least... But mostly for a selfish reason >.> But for the most part I do agree.
That's kinda what it's supposed to be in lore from what I remember, it's just reflected really poorly in gameplay. But I also want the option to just have my character do a Khadgar and not support the conflict. At this point it makes no sense for my characters personally do so.
I think the conflict will never truly go away but it would be nice to see a player choice option for the story on whether your player character wishes to fight the other side or work with them.
