The thing is Thrall always has valued Tyrande and people from the Alliance as his friends. We as the player may not care or like Tyrande but to Thrall that's a friend he still has. And Thrall has lost way too many of them over the years.
Also Thrall wasn't even involved in the last war except to help oust Sylvanas and reform the government. If Tyrande wasn't full on rage mode she probably wouldn't be hostile to him compared to the rest of the horde.
