More points regarding the Forsworn being evil: The Kyrian don't destroy memories, they store them. The upper levels of the Forsworn KNOW this, and not only use it as a weapon anyway, they corrupt the memory archives themselves to remove access to them entirely.

In order to never succumb to the Void again, we file away our personality and memories into shards in the hopes that one day, we can reclaim them and still perform our duty. That's how I see it. It's not perfect, but given what the Void does to people's minds, it's acceptable.
Kinda weird though. Considering in Maldraxxus these sorts of things aren't viewed as flawed and they're the main fighting force to oppose things like the Light and the Void.

The Kyrian aren't supposed to be fighters. Their entire culture is different. They need a clear and pure mindset to perform the job of soul ferrying. The Maldraxxi probably have no reason to need to clear their heads.
