First of all, Blizzard flatout said that the machine of death did not break until after the Nightmare raid, which takes place an entire base expansion's worth of time after 7.3, secondly the red trail of Remornia looks the same during Renathal's cutscene as the Arbiter's.

Argus makes no sense unless you just handwave away the giant hole that Argus dies in 7.3 and somehow his soul doesn't go to the Shadowlands to screw everything up until actual months later.

The main two reasons why I think it is Argus and not the Sword is the fact that Argus itself is the Titan of Death and therefore has some form of a connection with the Afterlife. And two the color of the Argus Star and the Soul are identical.

Also, by the way, Danuser flatout says in an interview with T&E that the Shadowlands is a place only mortals souls go, and that eternal souls like the Titan return to their own plane of "Order."

I've been thinking on that for a bit and I was wondering if the level of damage that was done to Argus is what led him going to the Shadowlands in the first place. Argus himself was corrupted, damaged, and scared. It's possible he made the wrong turn.

Plus it making the Arbiter "break" would make sense since a Titan isn't supposed to go to the Shadowlands. Whatever did her in left in a state where she could no longer judge souls properly. It just makes sense this could maybe be it.

That doesnt make any sense & is just a very thinly veiled way to handwave the massive hole in the theory. It doesnt matter how corrupt your soul is if the system works like Demons returning to the Nether or Old Gods to the Void. We've never been told something otherwise happens

Also do you REALLY think Blizz is going to pause the entire story of Shadowlands to go, "Okay let's go back to Argus & explain this convoluted line of thinking why he's actually red and went to the Shadowlands instead of his home plane of Order" ? That's not how they roll.
