Donno why everyone is...for lack of a better word...lore horny for the Pantheon. They keep trying to apply things to them to make them more interesting. First Eonar instead of it obviously being Elune and now Argus' soul hurting the Arbiter instead of it obviously being Remornia.

I get the whole Eonar thing. But what makes you think the little sword is responsible for damaging the Arbiter? I see Argus making way more sense personally but I wanna hear you out on the talking sword.

First of all, Blizzard flatout said that the machine of death did not break until after the Nightmare raid, which takes place an entire base expansion's worth of time after 7.3, secondly the red trail of Remornia looks the same during Renathal's cutscene as the Arbiter's.

Argus makes no sense unless you just handwave away the giant hole that Argus dies in 7.3 and somehow his soul doesn't go to the Shadowlands to screw everything up until actual months later.

The main two reasons why I think it is Argus and not the Sword is the fact that Argus itself is the Titan of Death and therefore has some form of a connection with the Afterlife. And two the color of the Argus Star and the Soul are identical.

And how do you square the fact that Argus died in 7.3 and Blizzard said the machine of death didn't break until -after- the emerald nightmare raid? Also Argus isn't of the Death realm, this is just like Eonar. He's still an Arcane Titan.

The Emerald Nightmare raid takes place before Argus' demise so that still adds up. It mostly means that the majority of Legion everybody was going to proper place until the Titan of Death met his end.
