Nothing was wrong with it, in fact, I was a fan of it myself, but Jaina went awful quickly from "I HATE ALL HORDE I WILL BURN YOUR CITIES" to being very teary-eyed and regretful about how her relations with Horde and the prospect of faction peace. Could've been set up more.
I personally really liked the fact she went from that to where she is now. Which realistically we have Baine to thank for that happening. Definitely could've had one more patch or .5 patch to show that growth more but all in all I liked it.
Yeah, and that's basically what I'm saying - since BoD the "character" lore of BfA got turbo-charged and it seemed they rushed a lot of growth. N'zoth deserved/deserves his own expansion - CoS mini-raid/story was great as a teaser, but Azshara should have been the BfA end boss.
The point to that is, if they didn't have to rush to NYA, we could have had more story (and a more cohesive one that respected the in-game timeline w/r/t the recruitment of allied race and Exalted rep scenarios). It just feels like post-8.1 the story was largely reworked.
