I'm a tad worried of how much I am so apprehensive on Shadowlands so far. Even as I progress through the zones. It's probably heresy but I really liked BfA's questing (on Horde) more than some of these zones so far. I'm hoping my opinion changes as time goes on.
I always tend to feel alone in that sense of opinion too. Like I don't wanna sound moppy or sad. But every time I say, "I like BfA" it's like I just insulted them or something. I get the gameplay was hot garbage but the story is what made it for me.
I haven't finished Ardenweald or started Revendreth so this opinion could possibly change. But I had this feeling when Shadowlands was announced and now I am feeling it again. I'm not saying I hate Shadowlands, far from it. Just saying it seems I liked BfA more at the moment.
I personally think SL, for me, is going to be an Expansion that will probably get better the more I progress through it. Like an opposite of BfA. BfA I adored from the start & then wavered as it finished. So maybe I'll be at odds with it at the start & love it at the end.
Nothing wrong with that. Endgame BfA was a mess from the get-go, but I was a fan of the story right up until Battle for Dazar'alor. That was the point I think they started stretching. Zandalari God-King killed by the Mongrel King and his pack of wild dogs in his house??? FOH.
(Don't even get me started on the Jaina fight...)
Not that it matters anyway, but I don't see anything wrong with liking BfA. If something in it resonated with you, just enjoy IMO. Some were affected more by what was good in that expansions. Some - by what was not so good. Both sides have valid reasons, I think. gl hf
