Folks this isn't them saying "he's NOT the big bad" they just don't want to tie-down an ending feature 2 years in advance. That's a good thing for a narrative. Look at the trainwreck final chapter of Harry Potter because JK wrote it years in advance. Garbage
That's not precisely reassuring. Harry Potter aside when you compare this to previous expansions (Warlords of Draenor, Legion and Battle for Azeroth) having the final boss be a big mystery did more harm than good. It is why Wrath and Mists worked out well in that regard.

It's not a mystery they just don't want to be tied-down when who knows what the Team will look like in 2 years. Managing expectations is important. Earlier in the year Ion came out and said 100% the Jailer was the Big Bad anyway. I think it will too but the door must be left open

I disagree. I don't think there is an essence of "The team is going to be tied down with this villain and therefore it'll be bad." That's the beauty of the expansion as a whole it is building up to that Arc and Antagonist. That's what I and so many others looked forward to.
