Come on... Maybe Jake is off on an adventure with BMO? The final Distant Lands episode is gonna be about them, so we'll figure it out
Just makes sense he'd tattoo Jake onto his chest and be hanging out with one of his grandkids. Jake was pretty old before the series concluded and we knew he'd die at some point in the series.
