There's too much Calia hate. Like I get why it exists (believe me I've had my head chewed off at this point by some) but the level of hatred for this character to me is not warranted. She hasn't done anything yet that they're talking about that she's gonna apparently do.
The way I see it is if Calia does anything that warrants the hate. Like changes, the Forsaken completely forces them to take on the light, takes away what made them cool or interesting than yeah go for it. But all she wants to do it seems is help them mentally and physically.

I think regardless of who they were gonna choose. I don't think they were going to exactly "match" up to the "hype" on Sylvanas. Far too many people like Sylvanas and replacing her was never going to be easy. The same applies to other leaders though.

Thing is, if Blizzard doesn't screw up the writing, I don't think she is going to "force" that onto them. She will, however, likely help them try and reconnect to the Light if they so wished. I don't think them going through change means they necessarily will stop being cool.

I think we're going to see a step away from the Forsaken since Classic to Battle for Azeroth though. But that ultimately just makes sense. I can't see the Horde or the Alliance ignoring the Forsaken anymore if they do another Wrathgate-like-incident.

I think that eventually some Forsaken will become full-fledged devotees to Calia and embrace the light, and that's when we'll get Lightforged Undead as a Horde allied race.
