So I got everything I can from the quartermaster, did every quest available, and killed Nathanos on Ben, so I'm more or less "done" with the prepatch on my main until next week. Since I am, I'd like to take as fair a look at this prepatch as I can and give my honest thoughts.

The story suggests to us that the Scourge are unleashed on Azeroth in a way similar to when Arthas was in power, so much so that the zones closest to home are under attack. How do they show this? A handful of Scourge mobs hurled at Darkshire/Crossroads with no real organization.

The only place I can really say seems like it's truly under attack is the Tournament Grounds, but even then, the rest of Icecrown seems largely just... business as usual. Nothing really changes save for the occasional dungeon boss returning from the dead only to get smacked down.

I understand the limitations of displaying a global attack - they can't have all zones come under fire - but with how they're showing it in game, the Scourge just comes off as a minor nuisance than an actual threat. I really have to stretch my disbelief to buy into the danger.

Compare this to the Legion prepatch - even though only four zones came under fire, they came under FIRE. The Legion hit these places in their entirety, extremely hard. Entire plains were scorched, and multiple bosses were deployed. The invasion really seemed like an invasion.

I really wish we got the following zones invaded: Northern Barrens (Kalimdor) Duskwood (Eastern Kingdoms) Icecrown (Northrend) Krasarang Wilds (Pandaria) Suramar (Broken Isles) Drustvar (Kul Tiras) Zuldazar (Zandalar) That way each of the continents and areas would be involved.

Eversong tho, its literally on the border of a scourge swarming forest. Lor'themar and Thalyssra defending Silvermoon togethr. The Nightborne ensuring we dont see a repeat of wc3. It was all there for blizzpic.twitter.com/hMlbYvbyVR

I was going to say Eversong but I wanted to keep in line with the zones they hinted at were getting hit. I would keep with the theme of returning Leaders. Like a Forsaken Grandmaster Gandling leading an assault in Duskwood while Amnennar the Coldbringer would attack the Barrens.
