She also was very focused and determined during the entire fight. It really wasn't until Nathanos kept jabbing her with Teldrassil did her emotions start to show. I'd say she was very in control until then. She honestly could've killed him at any moment but needed answers.

Sylvanas literally shattered the entire sky and is working for what is basically Death-Satan. Tyrande is honestly just doing what she's been doing for the past 10K years but it's pushed to an 11 and it's on people who honestly deserve it.

I don't think she was under any impression that she was actually going to get a straight answer. She was going there to kill him as her primary goal, only humored him for a minute before sending him off. I saw that as her giving him one last chance to show humanity.
