The Illidari are a small suicide cult where half the members die or defect. Maiev almost got Tyrande killed for her obsession, betraying her allies in the process and then getting herself trapped in Outland. Malfurion came up with the plan to kill Archimonde by uniting w/ Horde
Medivh was the one who united the Alliance and Horde together. Malfurion's plan essentially was to use the Horde and Alliance as walls while the Night Elves readied the spell. It's kind of fucked up when you think about it.
