Did the romance between Jarod and Shandris in Wolfheart seem weird to anyone else? Like, his wife wanted to die in Darnassus cause Shandris was there and she knew he had the hots for her, and she was just cool with that? Personally I'd throw it out with Maiev's betrayal.
Maiev's whole murder spree is like... kind of acknowledged? But like even Malfurion and Tyrande seem pretty chill with her now and nobody really brings it up. Just gonna pin it down as a storyline that nobody really liked because Maiev is too cool to be made into a Raid Boss.

The most I saw of it being mentioned in game was Maiev saying "Even after I~" to Jarod before getting cut off. It's almost like the lore itself wants nobody to ever speak of it again.

We also got that one line in Darkshore where Maiev was confused why Tyrande was cool with her. And Tyrande basically said there is no time for that right now.

Blizzard kind of went on a spree of utterly annihilating anything and everything associated with Knaak's work there for a while when it became clear his worldbuilding was going to directly conflict with telling the story they wanted to tell about mortals defeating the Legion.

I don't actually hate Knaak's work by any means but some of it definitely did more harm than good sadly. Especially for the case of characters like Maiev. Nobody wanted to see her go evil.
