Thrall has and always will be a vocal character in the story because he's been that way since Warcraft 3. The only way they're going to end that is if they kill him. As retirement is no longer really an option as that was his whole arc with Varok.

And given that the Orcs just lost their new leader very very recently I have my doubts they're gonna kill Thrall anytime soon. I dunno man I really enjoy having Thrall back and having him around. Clearly, that's not for you.

Because he's boring and sad and just whines every time he shows up. There are so many other interesting characters, even Orcs, they could explore instead of dragging his rotted corpse of a character out to beat the nostalgia drum of Warcraft 3. Again.

I guess we just don't have the same feelings regarding him. For me it's always a treat to see Thrall in action and do stuff. I'm legit excited to see him play a role in the story again and what his arc will be along with his stories. --

We have a franchise that establishes dozens of characters that are supposed to be important who star as main roles of an expansion and then get immediately sidelined instead of being appropriately involved so that we can have dumb shit like Thrall show up again for the 100th time

Again. I cannot repeat myself any further but Thrall hasn't had a main role realistically since WoD. This is also coming from someone who wants to see more out of Thrall and with Legion it was a disappointment. With BfA it felt like a re-introduction.

So what? That means he has to be brute forced into stealing the spotlight the second he doesn't get it for an expansion? Despite being still involved in both expansions in ways? What the point of trying to pretend new characters matter when they get sidelined for Warcraft 3 ones

I think they've honestly been handling things well with Thrall all things considered. Legion, BfA, and Shadowlands don't feel like he's hogging the spotlight. It'd be different if instead of focusing on Anduin it focused on Thrall for instance.

They gave him the same amount of screen time as Baine, Jaina and Tyrande. And from what I have seen of the beta it's the same in that front too. In fact Bolvar and Tyrande are given chunks of attention in the first patch of Shadowlands from what I have seen/heard.

Bolvar and Tyrande have different, new, storylines doing something different than they have in the past. Thrall is doing the same thing he's been doing forever. Tyrande is literally melting down from a new cosmic power from her goddess and she gets the same screentime as Thrall

We're jumping to assumptions on what is going on with Thrall. But I believe the goal of Shadowlands will be to finally get Thrall successfully from his funk (mostly with the elements) as that hasn't been fully resolved.
