Im still totally dumbfounded Shadowlands is bringing back Kael'thas & his storyline is about him redeeming himself & fighting against an old enemy from his past & its not Garithos but instead a character he never interacted with, once. All the pieces were there & they wiffed it.
To be fair, Kael'thas hating and hunting down (spoilers for other people beyond this point) K'T makes absolute sense given that it was him that corrupted the Sunwell. My own choices on who it was were Garithos, K'J or Dar'Khan. It being KT isn't disappointing at least.
I disagree. Said character is involved in the downfall of the High Elves, sure, but he didn't do it himself, it was done to him by Arthas. Kael'thas never interacted with him and always, always, ALWAYS attributed that to Arthas. We never once had him go, "Man its X's fault!"
Not even the Blood Elves blame said character, they blame Arthas. Because it was Arthas who slaughtered their Kingdom and it was Arthas whose actions corrupted the Sunwell. The other character was just incidentally involved by nature of how they had to return.
