I could see it considering the fact he was the one who encouraged Ner'zhul to go on with the plan to go to other worlds which led to Ner'zhul to Kil'jaeden and becoming the Lich King. Gorefiend is quite literally the reason Ner'zhul got crowned in the first place.

I was thinking about his lines in the Black Temple "For me the wheel of death has spun many times" "The wheel... spins... again." Never seemed like he was entirely finished, and considering his resume, I think he would be a prime recruit for the Jailer
