'least with Battle for Azeroth they finally dropped that whole "Unique Title" phase they did in Warlords of Draenor and Legion. I hated being the Garrison Commander and Class Leader. Much prefer being a Veteran of the Horde/Alliance like in Mists.

They didn't. You were the Alliance/Horde ambassador to the island nation. In SHL, there will be more than one Maw walker, though.
The title of "Ambassador of the Horde/Alliance" is barely used and isn't as integral or in your face as the Class Leader and Commander. It was far more subtle and not as frustrating. It was essentially on the same level of Veteran in MoP which was good.
