The thing that bugs me the most about WoW is that no one questioned the Alliance choosing / making a grieving 18 y/o their high king shortly after his father passed away. Why did no one question that?

Imo the title of High King is something to be EARNED, not given as a birth right. Warchief is literally the same in that regard - BUT AGAIN IMO.

As much as I dislike Sylvanas as Warchief I cannot deny she still would've been the perfect leader against the Burning Legion. Plus she did ensure the Horde didn't die on the Broken Shore at least and got Vol'jin and mostly everyone out of there.

Yeah exactly. I just... why did all the leaders of the Alliance just DECIDE Anduin would be a good high king?? //cries softly

I assume Velen had a lot to do with it. Realistically I don't think anyone else in the Alliance would fight or claim the title back then aside from maybe Tyrande? I think it just comes down to the fact the Alliance Leaders like Anduin and believe in him.

Y'KNOW WHAT that's a valid reason and I am only slightly willing to accept it - cuz yeah, Velen was the biggest Anduin supporter - but now I can't stop thinking about how, what if Velen had been High King JUST for Legion, and taken Anduin under his wing? UGUGHGHGUH.

Velen really doesn't seem like that type of person sadly. In fact most within the Alliance just seem like they tag along and don't ask questions or push for certain things. That's the difference between the Alliance and Horde you can see the bickering amongst the Horde.

Yeah. A lot of the 'bickering' is in the books. Some don't agree with Anduin's plans in Before the Storm, except Velen. Anduin, basically, slams his fist down and tells the racial leaders to 'deal with it'. So. He's getting there.

Definitely, in the books there is a lot more struggle and they have been showing that struggle more with other characters finally in the game too. They just need to do it more which they have as of BfA.
