Something that's always been odd to me. Are the queable PvP Pet Battles actual you fighting a player or is it just a randomly generated NPC? I always thought it was an NPC because of the pet's names being the same and the person you fought was always dressed a certain way.

Similar to how players can't speak cross faction (usually) that's Blizzard way of preventing players from knowing who they're up against and harassing other players when they lose or get angry.
What's also suspicious is how the AI or the player sometimes acts when you're fighting them. Highly suspicious of it entirely personally.

It's players, as said, it's to prevent 1. Innapropriate names. 2. Prevent win trading. Idk why it wouldn't use their transmog/race atleast. But I guess if it shares none of the charecter, UK's can pick up on the ID.
