I still like the character and wish the writing for him wasn't so terrible. He's great when he's on point.
I don't honestly think his writing for his character was ever "Terrible" or "Bad" as people keep complaining. The whole thing was only mishandled during the Cataclysm when it came to Stonetalon. The rest of Garrosh was on point everywhere else.

I guess by terrible I mean typical Blizzard quality. Interesting premise, clunky and poor execution. Retcons a few years later to justify the inconsistent or charicterization The game is what it is, but what made Garrosh any different than any other villain arc. Beside body count

Guess we're just gonna have to disagree there. I thought Garrosh was handled well as a villain all throughout Mists and Warlords of Draenor. Sure they could've taken him other places but I was pretty content with his arc and his ending in its entirety.
