Fair but obviously Classic was the first expansion, you haven't built that connection with any characters yet unless you played Warcraft. It's about building the foundation and what a great foundation it built, unfortunately Blizzard have pretty much used it up.
I played Warcraft 3 and Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne. Classic still didn't impact me that much. Personally the story in WoW honestly really didn't start for me until Wrath of the Lich King. That's when I started caring about it and enjoying it. Unlike Classic and TBC.

Ah in that case idk what to say lore is subjective for the most part. Wrath is definitely when lore started to take off imo I just have a lot of respect for Classic since it built the foundations and as I said, you're a mere recruit/adventurer and work your way up.

Definitely an aspect of WoW I miss most. I truly miss being the adventurer. A nobody. A small unit in a massive world. I hate that that world revolves around me now. ... And I don't mean that as a self-pointed joke about Pandaren weight!

I entered the Warcraft Universe with Classic WoW rather than the RTS's, so I suppose it's only natural I'd feel differently about it. Heck, I still haven't played any of the RTS's but the first... but that was so long ago and so brief, I don't count it.
