They should've been the final bosses of Legion imo. It would make a lot of sense: The heads of the Burning Legion themselves.

This. This is what I thought the ending of Legion was going to be. Archimonde AND Kil'jaeden duking us out as their master tries to take Azeroth. Not some blueberry Titan we only recently learned about. Argus could've been cool had he an actual character.

they're also some of the most interesting characters in the game and dont really get any actual depth to them until either one is DEAD or is actively dying.

To be fair, Archimonde had his moment in WC3 and one of those fights was just reliving that experience in the Caverns of Time. But yeah Kiljaeden really got done dirty.

Yeah especially with the level of importance and impact they had on the WoW universe and lore(the Orcs corruption, the Draenei being hunted, the Scourge, the destruction of the World Tree, etc) they definitely deserved way better, KJ especially, Archimonde still has a chance
-
Could’ve been part of two legion expansions or something, Kil’jaeden being the final boss of Legion which leads to the Argus expansion and Archimonde in Argus, idk something like that, maybe the BOTH of them being the final bosses of Legion

i agree that they deserved more but i think there was just no more space for them with the goal to leave Azeroth behind and introduce us into the big cosmic lore which we get in shadowlands...so it was just logical to give us a first look of the titans and sargeras / argus
-
Argus wasn't worth a peek at the Titans if it meant doing BOTH characters dirty. If it was just Archimonde I might've been able to stomach it but the fact that both got done in multiple times WAY before the idea of Cosmology was even thought about makes it worse.

I think Kil’jaden was done ok, after all he did star in 2 cutscenes. Archi...was kinda in the gap between “we defeated him forever, hooray!” And “oh by the way demons never die” I wish they did him better but eh, KJ was fine

Nah, that means that got two opportunities to win. Our tentacally overlord couldn’t make through one whole fight. (2% cutscene)
-
N'zoth had a pretty bad cutscene. Nobody is disputing that. What N'zoth did have at the very least was build-up. From Patch 8.1.5 to Patch 8.3. Archimonde appeared out of nowhere (foreshadowed by a Toy I guess) and Kil'jaeden got good cinematics but an awful patch.
