Skoll Shorties dodał/a,
I get it, I do, and I was going to post this on the original tweet earlier today, but as much as I liked Zelling as a character, his final death is necessary. It showed how far Sylvanas had gone, and they had just the right buildup for him for it to hurt when he died.
I don't think there's any intentions of bringing him back, and that's fine. We already got closure on his story - when he tried to return to his family and later, when Voss tells us she got them a place in Drustvar, honoring her promise. Bringing him back renders that pointless.
There's a difference between bringing him back and saving him from the Maw mate. He doesn't deserve his fate and it would be nice to show that while he's not coming back to the living world that people still care for him.
True, but it leads to the same premise: who else do we save? Where would that end? Why would Zelling get that treatment over more major lore characters we've lost in recent years? I see SDL concluding with us releasing all the souls who've been stuck in the Maw unjustly.
It would allow for several quests and interactions with characters of both old and new. Like I said it would give Rexxar and Voss something to do together too. Plus the characters would only be those who died during Legion and BfA. That's not really a lot too.
- All the Trolls go to the Other Side. - Vol'jin died during Legion. But is an Odd-Ghost. - Varian died to Gul'dan. - Ysera was saved by Elune. When you think about it Big Named Characters are very few who died during those expansions aside from Zelling and Varok.
This is all true, but what about interactions with characters who've died before that? Is it worth throwing away seeing how Grom treats Garrosh in the afterlife, or what fate other major characters ended up meeting? Personally, I say no, but I understand what you're saying.
(obviously, my meaning here is that it takes a lot of work from story to animation to implement this kind of questline. I'd rather see the time spent on other, bigger characters.)
I'd like to see this for Rexxar & Voss as characters when it comes to development. He was very important in the story of BfA - without him Baine would've never been able to save Derek. It's probably not gonna happen but it's something I would love to see.
