I think it’s ohkay to disagree and like different facets of our chosen faction. I am very pro-Forsaken but I often find your stance interesting even if I don’t personally agree. I don’t think anyone should harass or belittle anyone over this though, and that happens a lot
I'm not condoning harassment on either side. Never do. Never would. But I've been on the other side of the spectrum of just getting berated because my stance is different. The worst I called people so far is "weirdos" and "dumbo" and people have been calling me far worse.
"I'd rather see the Forsaken embrace their Horde side than their Forsaken side at this given point." I think this is what gives people issues when in WoW, horde side almost always just means "more like an orc". People pick races for different reasons.
Smoothing over those distinctions to make the race easier on people that don't even play them is... Yuck. Its like when we saw the new diverse Kor'kron in BFA instead of letting each race bring their own strengths and quirks.
Forsaken is my favourite race in WoW for two reasons, one that obviously they look cool but the 2nd reason is because of how they've always been sold as essentially an independent race, allying with the Horde out of convenience while doing evil shit.
Its a real issue that's unfortunately been around since vanilla but skyrocketed during Cata. The Forsaken just stand at odds with the rest of the Horde ideologically. You can't have the Forsaken lead the Horde especially because then you drag the rest of it to their level.
Like, I just want to be the honorable Horde from WC3. That's why I play Horde. Garrosh made us a little more warmongery, but he still felt like the Horde. MoP kinda ruined it tho. Sylvanas was like if the Horde allied with Arthas though. It made no sense for 90% of the Horde.
I love the Horde fantasy but I don't play my Forsaken because there's a tangible difference between him and the Horde. His chosen family consists of a classic honorbound Warsong orc, but he doesn't completely "fit in". He's at odds with his humanity. That's the whole point for me
There's clearly just a distinction of why each player plays their race/faction and things are getting more and more complicated. One side wants one thing which affects the entire faction as a whole and suddenly that Race is gonna get outted for it.
