Don't get it twisted. I understand why they're upset. But narratively it makes sense the Forsaken as a whole would do this at this point. I don't think there's going to be a realistic way to make Forsaken who still like Sylvanas players happy when the rest of the world hates her

There’s not really any way for Forsaken players to not feel betrayed. They were written into this corner. From ~9 months ago, this rather politely-written criticism sums up the anger a lot of players feel.https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/why-a-forsaken-player-is-frustrated/393567 …

For me personally. I used to play Forsaken, but never TRULY RP’d them as that predated when I RP’d. But I wanted to. I thought they had a lot of story potential. I could never bring myself to do it though, because I could kind of sense that this stuff was on the horizon.

The Forsaken as a whole have been problematic for not just the Horde but the whole world of Azeroth for a while now. If they don't change their tunes on certain things than realistically they'd be casted out and treated like all other threats/problems.

But they were written into that corner. Then they were told to accept that the things they were forced to do were wrong. Now a savior who isn’t like them comes to redeem them. It’s not really a fun narrative. I’d expand on these, but Twitter. Regarding being evil: (continued)

There’s lots of ways to write a villain. Compare Dark Side choices KOTOR 1&2. 1 is just “be a dick”, 2 is “be Palpatine”. 2 is actually pretty fun. Forsaken have varied over the years from cartoon villain to a necessary evil to accomplish good. It’s all about character motive.

There’s lots of good examples of Forsaken, but BfA was pretty much “do evil to do evil” without a real goal. Burning Teldrassil was a strategic failure. Most missions were “do this because Nathanos said Sylvanas told us to.” But the end is negating all good examples too.

Again the problem being the majority of what the Forsaken does/do is morally never a good enough reason. Wrath was last time where you could really go, "Well they're doing that to get revenge on Arthas." After that it quickly became them taking that out on the Alliance instead.

And their reasons strictly became, "Well this is our land rightfully." when they were taking lands that belonged to others even when they were alive. It also turned into them adding more Forsaken to their cause because they can't populate and they need that to keep their lands.
