Obviously, there is more nuance there than that and I added a few things later to make the story make more sense but yeah. Ban just kind of lost his eye out of the blue and I've ran with that for a decade now.

Fun Fact about Ban'orak losing his eye: It was never planned out or pre-determined. I just logged into Silvermoon City one day and one of my friends was on another character and just went ahead and ripped out Ban's eye. Ban managed to get himself free and kill his attacker.
