I think it adds more to the story if the Horde have to face their consequences and be hated for them. That's how it was at the start and now they have even more baggage. They've gotta make up for it but they can't expect butterfly kisses just because they're making amends.

EXACTLY. not only is it realistic it adds DEPTH and COMPLEXITY to the story.

Obviously, of course in the narrative, the Horde will be forgiven over time and some characters will accept them. But it's a bit ridiculous at how emotional some people get over the realism that yeah people you kill aren't gonna like you. It's not even just a Faction thing.
