Steve Danuser explained the decision as a team member and their kid playing it and it being jarring in a game where swearing is pretty minimal. They decided it didn't need to be there anymore.
I'm not gonna cry over the removal of the single word it's just odd they do it now after a decade of it being in. And at least we still have the dialogue as a whole still. Yeah, I read that. Pretty odd of a reason but again it's not as if they're removing the whole dialogue at least. That in itself is more cause for concern.

They better keep this in! Also. I disagree with the removal. We don't have a Teen+ rating for the game for nothing. Violence is okay, but the "B" word, oh no. We all learn to swear eventually. I think it would have been better to teach the child abt the word instead.pic.twitter.com/6hF06LBx6G

It just seems specifically that word which is fine, but I'm sure time will tell if anything else gets changed, Cataclysm definitely pushed the envelope though and I'm sure there are specific examples of things that would give *family friendly* a run for its money
