Sylvanas isn't exactly someone should be looking up to. Woman or not. The same goes for Garrosh you shouldn't look up to him either. They're both bad apples.

It’s a game. No ones out here calling her a role model. Saying some of her story is relatable? Yes. But overall she’s a bad ass chaotic neutral character with her own set of motivations and morals. An anti heroine. But since she’s a chick, people act like the world is ending.pic.twitter.com/SU7EDNZ0Oo

It's a bit much to call her an anti-heroine at this point. She's definitely a villain after her actions in Battle for Azeroth.

Nope. Read the blurb again^ She has an end goal and she’s doing anything to get there. People like to focus on the tree but ignore many many many other horrible things that others have done in WoW. Because, you know, blue lady bad.

Maybe because, oh idk, Sylvanas is one of the literal main antagonists of Shadowlands after she decided to commit genocide in BfA which was incredibly recent? People are saying "Blue lady bad" because she's a main character, a story focus, and pure goddamn evil.

“Genocide”. Where were you guys when IRC’s were being enslaved? How about trying to completely eliminate the forsaken for simply being forsaken? Now thats the definition of genocide. If you think burning a city is genocide, don’t look up any world history. Or even current events.

Excuse me not all Forsaken are bad. Some want to rest WE LITTERY JUST BURN A FUCKING TREE THAT HAD PEOPLE IN IT. And she's a anti-hero?

You might want to tell that to everyone who rejected their families for being turned against their will. But I like how people always ignore the orc enslavement. Burning a tree is the comparison of bombing a city. It happens in war. War isn’t pretty or kind.

The Orc enslavement isn't relevant to the current expansion and probably won't ever be relevant again, that's why nobody talks about it. And yeah, obviously war isn't pretty or kind. Literally nobody is saying it is. That doesn't mean burning Teldrassil was an okay thing to do.

Nobody talks about it because it’s convenient to ignore that it’s not a case of alliance = good guys. There have been many many other instances of large scale mass murder in WoW, yet the only thing people want to call genocide is the tree.

Using a very good comparison to Teldrassil is Shattrath. The orcs committed genocide on the Draenei under the influence of demon blood. The difference is, the orcs didn't have a choice and were forced into it. Teldrassil was a choice and it was something only Sylvanas asked for.

Sylvanas wanted to kill Malfurion and leave. But good ol mr indecisive failed and she made a last minute decision. It’s explained far better in the books, but again people like to ignore context.
