Gameplay speaking, yeah. But for lore its whack. Also, all the legion ARs feel odd to me cause both my horde an alliance characters helped them an fought for them. An now they enemies? Whack.

Only thing that feels wack are void elves. Nightborne being horde makes complete sense.

I agree with skoll over velfs coming out of nowhere. But the story reasoning for nightborne going horde is forever weak af. I get that they wanted the nelf model for horde but it was done so badly

How is it weak? Nightborne and Belves both suffer from similar Mana addictions. They relate to the Horde, as a whole more, in how they initially gave in to the Legion, but are now trying to rectify that.

Tyrande and crew taking them back after having a complete culture change to break away from them would be wild.

My post reeeeally wasnt focused on the details of HOW Blizz justified what made me sad. But everything you mention is lore from AFTER I was a fan of the Suramar story. Which is the point. Blizz making new story that makes you sad: how do you react.

And what im getting is "okay but you guys forget in 2022 the lore said rexxar was a dick to the tribe that joined the Alliance so it makes sense now."

I don't think the sole and entire reason on why the Nightborne joined the Horde was just because "Tyrande mean". It was because the Horde and the Nightborne were already getting buddy-buddy and the Alliance never asked them to join their Alliance.

From the moment 7.1 hit it was shown how the blood elves treated them with sympathy while the night elves showed disgust and distrust due to the nightborne keeping to the ways of the old empire that the Kaldorei under Tyrande rejected. It was well written from the get go.

The Mok'nathal quests showing their reasons for joining the alliance will be well written too. And posters on Twitter in 2024 will ignore how you felt about them in wc3 just like youre doing to me now. Man this "consider empathy" thread is going great.

This seems more petty than anything else. I'm sorry you and certain people didn't get your Shaldorei in the Alliance. But that's no reason to do this sort of thing at a friend. Were it up to me both Alliance and Horde would've gotten Nightborne.

What the fuck im not doing anything "at" anyone. I did Suramar quests this week and they reminded me of all the hopes I had for Legion before it dropped as a fan of the story before "Nightborne" was anyones vocabulary.
