No I haven't played Warcraft 2. But I have read the lore. The Horde has committed its list of heinous actions but it's also done its fair share of good for Azeroth too. And the majority of those "rampages" was under the corruption of demon blood.

Horde had war like culture even before demon blood They prolly would have done same In end of wc2 campain if you win as horde you extinct human race If you win as alliance only 30% of original population survives

War had war-like culture because their entire world was filled to the brim with savage monsters some even the size of mountains. The orcs and all native races there were raised by war. And Warcraft 2's campaign is dated compared to the new lore they added in Chronicles.
