It’s especially frustrating after Legion’s whole point was that the faction conflict is a distraction that weakens them. Would be nice to have them consciously take steps to avoid grow closer rather than a return to the status quo.
Personally, I wasn't against the return to the faction war after Legion given we had an entire break from the Factions essentially. But after BfA I'm ready for another break for at least 1-2 expansions.
I’m fine with the faction war if they had changed the formula. Have the Alliance be the aggressors, give the Horde a somewhat valid reason to commit war crimes, have a third party instigate it. Just do something other than ‘Horde turns evil for half an expansion’
Or, as I said already. Dont do...warcrimes? You dont need those in the first place. You can have war efforts/conflict/struggles, without fuling an warmachine on killing as much as needed. We dont need Grimdark Warhammer Style, that what makes Warcraft different and compelling
