it's twitter, what do you expect?

Honestly, I thought this site was more about blue birds when I first joined it in 2012. I was wrong.

Twitter is a cesspool of toxic heated nothing arguments! On a personal note I think faction wars is just a staple of WoW. There could be treaties and times of calm opposition, especially after BFA like you said. But horde v alliance is WoW.

I personally don't see it going away anytime soon. And we were given plenty of reasons why the Alliance isn't going to back down against the Horde. I still think it'd be refreshing to see a grey Alliance commit some atrocities rather than just the Horde.

(1) Yet another reason I want factions abolished. It might be selfish of me, but frankly I'd rather the factions be abolished so this kinda debate can just cease already. It's always a den of whataboutism, or who did the worst warcrime, who gets dunked on the most etc.

(2) And this ends up translating into some of the most petty things I've ever heard from the playerbase in arguments. The fact that it goes as far as even people straight up WANTING a faction to suffer OOCly (like being denied customizations and such) is just mortifying.

That's why I also want them to change the system and narrative focus. The end of the 4th war would be a good occasion to move on. Should the factions cease to exist? No. But they should not be a strict barrier anymore.
